Preschool

​Our preschool classroom is designed for children 3-4 years of age. Children will begin to explore in learning centers and will engage in cooperative, individual, small, and large group play. Activities will include both child initiated and teacher directed activities throughout each themed unit. Children entering our preschool classroom do not need to be potty trained before starting, we will work with them on an individual basis to meet their potty training needs. 

Daily Routine:

6:30 - 8:00      Arrival / Morning Greeting / Put Belongings Away
8:00 - 9:00      Free Play / Table Centers
9:00 - 9:15      Hand Washing / Morning Snack
9:15 - 9:30      Morning Meeting
9:30 - 10:30    Outside Time / Gross Motor
10:30 - 11:30  Arts & Crafts / Teacher Directed Centers
11:30 - 12:00  Clean up / Hand Washing / Routine Care* 
12:00 - 12:30  Lunch Time
12:30 - 2:30    Routine Care* / Rest Time / Quiet Activities
2:30 - 3:00      Routine Care* / Clean Up
3:00 - 3:30      Afternoon Snack
3:30 - 4:00      Math / Science/ Child Chosen Centers
4:00 - 5:00      Outdoor Play / Gross Motor Activity 
5:00 - 5:30      Dismissal

*Routine care includes diapering/potty/hand washing. Routine care is scheduled into our daily routine, however routine care may differ for each child and will be conducted on an individual needs basis at least every 2 hours or when soiled.
